Crazy is

I’m a little bit hyper. I was doing my own thing at work then realised I was singing/talking/humming and generally making weird noises to myself much to the amusement of my colleague.

I turned to her and asked:

Her answer?

Meh.

To thine own self be true….

Sometimes its hard to open up, to be honest and be yourself. What if people don’t like who I am? What if people say or do mean things? Opening up means being vulnerable, it means giving people the power to hurt your feelings and it means people see all your flaws. Its a leap of faith, to lay yourself bare in front of others with all of your barriers lowered. 

BUT, it also means giving people the chance to love you. You are you, no one will ever be more you than you and that’s a GOOD thing. People need to be different, people need to be THEMSELVES. If everyone in this world was the same how boring would that be? Imagine everyone was like Rick Santorum, or Sarah Palin?! That would NOT be good. The world functions, and improves, because people are different. Different opinions make use question injustice, makes us strive for better.

Everyone wants to be loved, but how can you be truly loved if you are not being yourself? Love is real, so why be fake?
