The above description does NOT apply to anyone that hacks into a persons private account and steals information/photos. Fans are devoted, loyal and above all RESPECTFUL. If these words do not describe what you feel for an actor/singer etc then you are not a fan, it is my duty to inform you that you have in fact stepped over the crazy line into obsessionville.
Dianna Agron loves her fans. She has proven time and time again that she cares by the messages and photos that she posts FOR them. She responds to tweets, posts music that she wants to share and even CREATED a freakin’ website for them. If this is not proof that she wants to interact with her fans then I’m straight girl!
Dianna does this all because she cares, yet some twats decide to repay her by invading her privacy. Everyone needs to keep something for themselves, that’s what keeps us US. What if someone came into your house and went through your stuff? Read your diary and posted it where everyone could see? You’d feel pretty violated wouldn’t you.
If you’re a fan then follow Dianna’s example and be an awesome person that respects others. If you’re not a fan, well then just f*ck off and leave her alone.

A well measured response.
Fans are meant to be passionate, but they need to remain realistic. An actor needs to put everything into their part to be believable, but the fan needs to remember it is make believe. I adore Buffy, like many it helped me through some tough times growing up, but I don’t confuse an actor with their character, nor hold them responsible for it. An actor has the right to voice their opinion on the parts they played, and we should have the decency to respect them for it.
You can love a character without loving the actor, but you can also love an actor without loving the character. An actor has to do what many of us want to, to become someone else, even for just a little while. A great actor inspires, but also divides. Let an actor act, and let them be.
